What does Philadelphia Porta Pros do?
Philadelphia Porta Pros rents portable toilets, porta johns, restroom trailers and handwashing stations for construction sites and events in Philadelphia, PA and the surrounding area. Alongside that we run roll off dumpsters, temporary fencing, storage containers and septic pumping, because a site that needs one of those usually needs two.
We are a service-area business. There is no showroom to visit and no counter to walk up to. Trucks go out, units get placed, tanks get pumped, and the office end of it happens on the phone and by email.

Where we work
The city first, then the ring around it. Inside Philadelphia that means South Philly, Point Breeze, Fishtown, Kensington, Grays Ferry, West Philadelphia, Center City and the Northeast, each of which is a genuinely different delivery job. Outside it, Montgomery, Bucks and Delaware counties on the Pennsylvania side and Camden County across the river.
The furthest suburb we cover as standard is Doylestown at 26.2 miles and a 48 minute drive. The closest is Camden at 7.3. Everything in between, with real drive distances rather than a marketing radius, is on the service areas page.

The standards the work is measured against
We did not invent any of these, which is the point of naming them.
- OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) sets construction site counts: one toilet for 20 or fewer workers, then one toilet seat and one urinal for every 40 workers above that. It counts people on site, not contractors.
- OSHA 1926.51(f) separately requires washing facilities, which is what a handwashing station or portable sink is there for. A sanitiser stand alone is not always enough.
- ANSI/PSAI Z4.3, the industry standard for non-sewered waste disposal systems, treats one service visit per week as the baseline under normal use. That is the schedule we quote from.
- The 2010 ADA Standards call for a 60 inch turning space in section 304.3.1, which is why an ADA accessible unit measures roughly 62 inches square rather than the 44 by 48 inch footprint of a standard cabin.
- The Philadelphia Department of Public Health issues portable toilet permits under its infectious waste program, on the application that covers holding tanks too, rather than a streets department. The permit page explains the route.

How we quote
By address, not by zip code. In this city the address is most of the job. A driveway drop in Somerton and a one-way block in Bella Vista are the same unit and a different piece of work, and the honest way to handle that is to ask about the block before quoting rather than bury it in a surcharge later.
Published ranges on this site, including everything on the porta potty rental cost page, are typical market bands reviewed in July 2026. They are not a quote. A real number comes from a real address.
Two things we will not do
We will not promise a same-day drop on a block we have never seen unless someone is on site who can move a car if it comes to that. Too many of those fail on arrival, and a failed delivery still costs the trip.
We will not price a walked-in rear yard placement as though it were a curbside drop. A standard cabin weighs 150 to 200 pounds empty, so carrying one through a house or down an alley is a two person job. Quoting it as a normal delivery just produces an argument on the day.
What this site does not claim
No review counts. No awards. No fleet size. No founding year. No certifications we have not shown you. Everything numeric on this site is either a published standard cited by number, a manufacturer specification, or a market price range labelled as a range.
If something on any page here reads like a claim about us and does not carry a source, tell us and we will cut it.
Talk to us
Request a quote with the address and dates, use the contact page if you would rather ask a question first, or read the FAQ for the things people ask before they call. The main Philadelphia rental page breaks the city down neighbourhood by neighbourhood, and the home page has the full catalogue.
