How far do you deliver from Philadelphia?
Our normal delivery ring runs about 26 miles from the city, which puts every one of the twelve suburbs below inside it. Beyond that we still quote, but the drive starts to dominate the price and we will say so rather than bury it.
Distance is not the same as difficulty here. Camden sits 7.3 miles away but across a bridge. Doylestown is
26.2 miles and a 48 minute drive on a good day. A 22 minute run to Abington is often an easier delivery than a 15 minute crawl into South Philadelphia, because the far one has a driveway and the near one has cars parked both sides.
Does distance change what delivery costs?
Yes, and it is the second biggest variable after access. Drive time is the charge. Delivery on a standard unit typically runs $50 to $150 in this market, sitting at the low end for a straightforward suburban driveway and at the high end for a long run or a tight city block. Bundling helps more than haggling. If a site needs a roll off dumpster and a temporary fence as well as units, one truck movement beats three.

Abington, Lower Merion, Conshohocken, King of Prussia and Norristown sit in Montgomery County, and Norristown is the county seat. Upper Darby, Haverford Township and Chester are in Delaware County. Bensalem and Doylestown are in Bucks County, with Doylestown as its county seat. That matters because permits, right-of-way rules and inspection routes are set at the municipal level, not by us, and they change the moment you cross a township line.
The New Jersey side
Camden is 7.3 miles out at about 17 minutes, and Cherry Hill is 13.6 miles at about 26 minutes. Both sit in Camden County, New Jersey, and both are reached over a bridge rather than around anything.
Practically, that means the delivery window is set by the crossing, not by the mileage. A Cherry Hill drop scheduled for the wrong hour can take longer than a Doylestown one 12 miles further out. We schedule those early where we can.
Inside the city
Philadelphia itself is not one service area either. South Philadelphia, Point Breeze, Fishtown, Kensington, Grays Ferry and much of West Philadelphia are rowhouse streets, narrow, parked solid, often one-way. A standard cabin measures roughly 44 by 48 inches on the common manufacturer models, so the unit fits. The truck is what does not.
Northeast Philadelphia is the opposite: driveways, lots and easy approaches. Center City is its own thing, where loading restrictions and pedestrian volume decide the schedule. Permit rules change at the city line
Inside Philadelphia, portable toilet permits come from the Department of Public Health under its infectious waste program, on the same application that covers holding tanks, rather than from a streets or transportation department. That routing catches out contractors who expect a streets process.
Outside the city, each township and borough runs its own rule, and there is no single Montgomery County or Bucks County answer. Ask before an event on public ground. Jobsite counts follow OSHA 1926.51(c)(1), one toilet for 20 or fewer workers and then one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 above that. Event counts follow guest numbers and hours, which the sizing calculator handles. Servicing is weekly as standard, the baseline ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 sets for non-sewered systems under normal use.
Booking outside the city
Give us the address, not the town. Two houses in Lower Merion can be a five minute difference in placement time, and out here the placement is usually easier than in the city, which is why suburban jobs often price better than they look.
